Program Description:
Exchanges provide the most affordable options for study abroad. You will pay your regular PSU tuition at PSU, and pay for room and board and other expenses on site.

At the same time, exchanges are less structured than affiliate programs, and it will require more legwork on your part to figure out ahead of time which courses you will take and get them approved for credit, and find out about housing options and everything else that you might want to know about studying at our partner university. You main source of information and support will be the international office of the foreign university, so explore their website, send them an e-mail saying that you are from Pitt State and interested in studying at their university on exchange, and try to learn as much as you can in advance.

You will need to be extremely flexible, as it often happens that you will get 7 courses pre-approved hoping that 4 will work out, and when you arrive they are all taught at the same time on the same day, and you can't take the courses you expected and you need to find 3 more courses. This happens, and it's frustrating, but it can be worked out. So students who choose to study abroad on exchange have to have a high tolerance for ambiguity. If this is you, then this will be a wonderful experience for you.
